The Carver Terrace programs have settled into a newly renovated facility that provides a proper space for both programs. Due to the renovation of apartments in the area, there has been a lot of turnover in participation, but with the project complete, the Carver Terrace programs are now focused on providing a quality after-school program for the resident and community members.
These programs, funded through Telesis, Inc., work closely with neighborhood organizations and the DC police to provide a safe place for the youths. In addition to assistance with homework, the programs work to enrich the youths life through computer-based programs, field trips, and other youth development activities.
